The First Meeting of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 80th Birthday Celebration Committee for the district level was held simultaneously this morning in all districts.

In Brunei Muara District, the meeting was chaired by Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubaarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim, Acting Brunei Muara District Officer. Among the matters discussed were the format and programme for the Get-Together ceremony. Also present were Members of the Legislative Council.

Meanwhile in Belait District, it took place at the Belait District Office. Awang Haji Amirol Hafidzin bin Haji Muhammad, Acting Belait District Officer in his speech urged all parties to cooperate and be committed in ensuring the smooth-running of the event. Also present was a Member of the Legislative Council.

Dewan Utama of the Tutong Civic Centre Complex was the focal point of a similar meeting in Tutong District, chaired by Awang Haji Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Basri, Acting Tutong District Officer. Also present was a Member of the Legislative Council.

Whereas in Temburong District, it was held at the Mukim Bangar Community Hall. The meeting was chaired by Awang Hassan Baha bin Haji Umar, Acting Temburong District Officer. Also present was a Member of the Legislative Council.
